Spooky season may be over, but this weekend is still jam-packed with new releases to check out in November. Whether you're looking for a new thriller to sink your teeth into, or eagerly waiting the return of a beloved series, there is plenty of exciting media to choose from.
Bugonia
Following the success of the twisted fairytale Poor Things, Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone reunite with their latest film project, Bugonia.
This dark comedy centres on two conspiracy theorists who kidnap a powerful CEO, believing she is an alien. The film is a remake of the 2003 South Korean movie Save the Green Planet! and has shocked audiences with its gory and unsettling nature.
Relay
David Mackenzie, known for the Oscar-nominated drama Hell or High Water, returns with a new thriller, Relay. Downton Abbey star Lily James stars alongside Riz Ahmed, who won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film with The Long Goodbye.
Ahmed plays a fixer and broker who helps to expose the underhanded practices of big corporations. His latest client, Sarah Grant (James), is threatened after finding incriminating evidence that could destroy her former company. This film promises a fast-paced and intense ride with plenty of throwbacks to classic thrillers.
The Witcher
The Witcher has returned for Season 4, introducing Liam Hemsworth as Henry Cavill's replacement for Geralt of Rivia.
After Gerald, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) become separated from one another, the trio must follow different paths, facing deadly foes and forging fragile alliances on the way. Laurence Fishburne is also joining the cast as Regis, a centuries-old higher vampire.
I Love LA
This American comedy will make its debut on HBO Max on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Rachel Sennott created and stars in this show about a group of friends in their twenties as they navigate friendship, love, and careers.
