James Hanton

James is the News Editor for FILMHOUNDS, and is also a Senior Writer for Starburst Magazine UK. His writing has been featured in The Guardian, Little White Lies, and The Quietus to name but a few. In 2023, he graduated from his Masters Degree in Film Studies from the University of Edinburgh. His dissertation looked at the role of emotion, character, and animation in constructing the fictional world of the Netflix series Arcane.
