Warner Bros. Pictures and DC's Superman reboot has opened with £7 million at the , with audiences potentially driven away by the heatwave.

Launching across 685 sites, marked the first chapter of director James Gunn's new DC Universe. This is notably lower than the £11.2 million opening recorded by Man of Steel (2013) and the £14.6 million debut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).

The new Superman film picks up a few years after the Son of Krypton revealed himself to the world. The plot centres on a plot by Lex Luthor to knock Superman off his pedestal and turn the public against him. David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult star.

Screen Daily reports that the film's opening total may have been impacted by the recent warm weather. Temperatures across the UK exceeded 33°C in some areas last weekend.

Jurassic World Rebirth saw takings drop by 65%, adding £3.2m in its second week in cinemas. The fourth Jurassic World film, and the seventh in the wider Jurassic Park franchise, is now up to £19.4 million. 

F1: The Movie dropped 62% with £1.2 million, bringing the sports drama to £15.9 million at the box office.

fell 61%, adding £581,616 in its 5th week for a £19.3 million total. 

28 Years Later, which is now the highest-grossing horror release of 2025, fell 65%. Danny Boyle's sequel added £497,439 to take its total to £13.7 million.

Paramount's Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has maintained a spot in the top ten after eight weeks. Tom Cruise's latest action feature added £48,000 this weekend and has accrued nearly £26 million. This is just behind the £26.6 million final gross of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023).
