has released the official trailer for their upcoming horror sequel, .

Set four years after The Black Phone (2021), Black Phone 2 will follow survivors Finney and Gwen as they try to move on with their lives.

The official synopsis reads “As Finn, now 17, struggles with life after his captivity, the headstrong 15-year-old Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp known as Alpine Lake.

“Determined to solve the mystery and end the torment for both her and her brother, Gwen persuades Finn to visit the camp during a winter storm. There, she uncovers a shattering intersection between The Grabber and her own family's history. Together, she and Finn must confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death and more significant to them than either could imagine.”

Four-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke returns to play The Grabber. Meanwhile, Mason Thames and Madeline McGraw reprise their roles of Finney and Gwen respectively.

Demián Bichir, Arianna Rivas, and Miguel Mora also feature. Jeremy Davies, Terrence, Maev Beaty, and Graham Abbey round off the cast.

Writer and director Scott Derrickson returns to helm the sequel. The filmmaker's other works include Sinister (2012), the Marvel Cinematic Universe entry Doctor Strange (2016), and most recently The Gorge (2025).

Furthermore, Derrickson has previously spoken about the sequel. He told The Hollywood Reporter that it is “more violent, scarier and more graphic.”

Derrickson also confirmed that The Grabber will now hunt from the supernatural world, saying “The first movie was a ghost movie, but all the ghosts were victims […] in this one, you've got a ghost that is a villain.”

Black Phone 2 will be released in UK cinemas on 17 October, 2025.
