A first-look has been released for 's upcoming crime comedy, Honey, Don't!. The film sees reunite with the acclaimed filmmaker following their collaboration on 2024's Drive Away Dolls.

The trailer shows Qualley's protagonist Honey O'Donahue, “a small-town private investigator who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church.” Chris Evans also stars as a charming evangelist named Drew, whose cultish following leads Honey to believe he's responsible for the killings.

Honey, Don't! promises a return to the pitch-black comedy and violence of Coen's previous collaborations with screenwriter (and wife) Tricia Cooke, who worked alongside the filmmaker on Drive Away Dolls. The film also boasts an impressive supporting cast, with Qualley and Evans taking the lead alongside Aubrey Plaza, Charlie Day, Billy Eichner, and Talia Ryder. While most roles have been kept largely under wraps, the trailer offers flashes of the on-screen chemistry between Qualley's PI Honey and Plaza's police officer MJ, hinting at a romance between the two.

For Qualley, reuniting with the team behind Drive Away Dolls and sharing the screen with Plaza was a major appeal of the new project: “I just love Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke so damn much, and love being on their set,” she told IndieWire in January 2025. “I can hardly put into words how special making that movie was for me, and working with Aubrey Plaza, who is one of my favorite actors and people of all time.”

Principal photography for Ethan Coen's upcoming feature began in New Mexico in March 2024, and wrapped two months later. The film will have its world premiere on May 24th at the 2025 before its wide release later this year.

Honey, Don't will be released in cinemas on 22 August, 2o25.
