Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has remained at the top of the UK box office rankings in its third week.
Earning an additional £2.5 million, the Warner Bros. sequel has now grossed a total of £18.2 million.
Universal's Speak No Evil remains in second place, earning £813,979. A 32% drop from week one, the psychological horror has now passed £3 million.
In its second week, StudioCanal‘s Lee remains in third place, grossing £555,529. Starring Kate Winslet, the war drama's total gross stands at £1.8 million.
For MUBI, Coralie Fargeat's satirical body horror The Substance debuted with £519,668 at the UK box office. Demi Moore stars as a TV aerobics host who is fired on her 50th birthday. In desperation, she injects herself with a black-market drug which gives her seven days in a younger body.
The Substance‘s total gross stands at £591,322. Furthermore, Screen Daily reports that this represents MUBI's second-highest theatrical release after Priscilla (2023).
In its eleventh week, Universal's Despicable Me 4 made £369,840. Its total stands at £46.7 million.
Signature Entertainment‘s 200% Wolf opened in sixth place, grossing £237,038. The animated sequel follows Freddy as his wish to transform from poodle to wolf is granted by the moon spirits.
In its second week, Lionsgate's period thriller The Critic made £207,710. Led by Sir Ian McKellen, the film's UK box office total rises to £875,020.
Sony's It Ends With Us grossed £190,768 in its seventh week, and has now reached £21.2 million.
Prima Facie, the recording of Jodie Comer's play, made £170,771. National Theatre Live's rerelease has now made £7.6 million.
Alien: Romulus earned £143,080, bringing its total to £13.1 million. It has overtaken Alien: Covenant (2017) to become the franchise's highest-grossing instalment at the UK box office.
