Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has remained at the top of the UK box office in its second week.
The dark fantasy sequel made £4.3 million in its second week. This takes its total gross to £14.4 million. Screen Daily reports that the film has already surpassed some of the director's past features, such as Dumbo (2019) and Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (2016).
Universal's Speak No Evil, a remake of the 2022 Danish original, has debuted in second place at the UK box office with £1.2 million. The psychological horror stars James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, and Scoot McNairy.
In third place, StudioCanal's Lee opened with £705,643, including previews. Kate Winslet stars as Lee Miller, model turned WWII photographer for Vogue.
National Theatre Live's rerelease of Prima Facie earned £554,794 in fourth place, increasing its gross to £1.5 million. The recording of Jodie Comer's one-woman play made £5.5 million when it was first released in 2022.
Despicable Me 4 remains in fifth place in its tenth week. Universal's feature made £389,930, bringing its total to £46.3 million. It is ahead of Deadpool & Wolverine, with £359,589 in its eighth week. The superhero film's UK box office total now stands at £56.7 million.
The period thriller The Critic debuted with £353,075. Set in 1934, Sir Ian McKellen plays a ruthless critic for a tabloid newspaper who uses his power to manipulate London thespians.
In its sixth week, It Ends With Us made £327,196. The Sony Pictures feature has now made £20.9 million at the UK box office.
Alien: Romulus has now grossed £12.8 million after earning an additional £268,311 in its fifth week. It is set to overtake the £12.9 million of Alien: Covenant (2017) to become the highest-grossing film in the franchise.
