Tim Burton's sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has debuted at the top of the UK box office.
The comedy horror, which is a follow-up to Beetlejuice (1988), opened with £7.3 million. Michael Keaton returns as the bio-exorcist Betelgeuse, along with Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara. They are joined by Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe.
It Ends With Us moves up to second place, having earned £668,882 in its fifth week. Sony's domestic abuse drama has grossed a total of £20 million. Furthermore, the film has grossed over $309.3 million worldwide.
Disney's Deadpool & Wolverine grossed £570,436 in its seventh week, moving down to third place at the UK box office. This 53% drop takes its cumulative total to £56 million.
In fourth place, Alien: Romulus grossed £570,436, down 47% from last week. This takes its total UK gross to £12.1 million.
Despicable Me 4 has dropped from first to fifth, earning £543,555. This takes the Universal family animation's total to £45.7 million.
In its third week, Zoe Kravitz's psychological thriller Blink Twice grossed £331,425 to take its total to £2.6 million. It is ahead of Disney's Inside Out 2, which made £228,527 in its thirteenth week. It remains the most successful film at the UK box office so far this year with £58.7 million.
Kneecap, the Irish entry for the Best International Feature Film Academy Award, has reached £1.7 million in its third week.
Karim Aïnouz's Firebrand has opened with £120,487, including previews, in 192 locations. Alicia Vikander plays Katherine Parr, sixth wife to Henry VIII (Jude Law), who faces challenges when named regent while the King is abroad.
In its fourth week, the rerelease of Coraline (2009) has grossed £92,640. This takes the stop-motion animation's UK box office total to £3.3 million.
