Disney's Inside Out 2 has remained in first place at the UK box office in its fourth week.
Screen Daily reports that the animated sequel was only 15% down on its takings from last week. With an additional £5.1 million, Inside Out 2 has now overtaken Dune: Part Two as the UK & Ireland's highest-grossing film of the year so far. The latest Pixar film's UK box office total now stands at £40.1 million.
In second, A Quiet Place: Day One made £1.1 million in its second week. The 36% drop from last week brings its total to £6.2 million. The original film, A Quiet Place (2018), grossed £12.1 million and its sequel, A Quiet Place: Part II (2020), totalled £11.6 million.
Sony's Bad Boys: Ride Or Die remains in third, adding £446,578 to its UK box office total. In its fifth week, the buddy cop comedy starring Will Smith has earned £11.1 million.
In fourth place, Ti West's MaXXXine has debuted with £384,410. It is the third instalment in the X trilogy and represents the highest opener in the series. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, Mia Goth reprises her role as the adult film star, Maxine Minx. She is joined by Elizabeth Debicki, Halsey, and Giancarlo Esposito.
Universal's The Bikeriders made £373,027, a 36% decrease in its third week. Starring Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Tom Hardy, the film has made £3.2 million at the UK box office.
Indian sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD made £189,000 in its second week, bringing its total to £1.3 million. It is ahead of Yorgos Lanthimos's absurdist anthology feature Kinds Of Kindness, which has grossed £166,486 in its second week.
Park Circus's 25th-anniversary screenings of The Mummy (1999), starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, made £101,404.
