Cineverse has released the first official teaser trailer for Terrifier 3.
Director Damien Leone returns to helm the latest entry, having also helmed Terrifer (2016) and Terrifier 2 (2022). The new sequel will also be the first film in the franchise to receive a theatrical release in the UK & Ireland, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
The previous film grossed $15.7 million worldwide on a budget of just $250,000.
The official synopsis reads “Art the Clown [will] unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve – five years after the events of the previous film.”
The new film will see David Howard Thornton return as Art the Clown. Lauren LaVera will also reprise her role as Sienna, who battled the murderous clown in Terrifier 2.
The returning cast also includes Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullam, and the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Chris Jericho.
The film also stars Jason Patric, best known for his leading role as Michael Emerson in The Lost Boys (1987), and Tom Savini. Savini is a make-up artist who has previously worked with directors such as George A. Romero, Quentin Tarantino, and Robert Rodriguez.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Leone states that Terrifier 3 “is definitely the goriest entry in the franchise.”
Terrifier 3 will be released in UK cinemas on 25th October 2024.
