Despicable Me 4 Heads UK Box Office

Despicable Me 4 has remained at the top of the UK rankings in its second week.

Earning an additional £4.9 million, Universal's animated sequel has now grossed a total of £17.4 million.

Lee Isaac Chung's Twisters debuted in second place, with £3.1 million. Screen Daily reports that nearly 20% of its gross was made through premium formats such as 4DX (10%) and Imax (9%).

The disaster movie is a standalone sequel to Twisters (1996). It focuses on a meteorologist and a storm chaser who attempt to control a ferocious storm by throwing barrels of sodium polyacrylate into its centre.

Inside Out 2 drops to third place, grossing £1.5 million. Disney's feature is down 32%, taking its gross to £47.2 million.

In fourth place, the Nicolas Cage-starring horror Longlegs made £1.3 million. This brings its total gross to £4 million in its second week.

Paramount's A Quiet Place: Day One grossed £447,000 in its fourth week, down by 46%. Placed in fifth, the alien invasion prequel's total rises to £9 million.

In its second week, Sony's Fly Me To The Moon made £191,737. Its total gross stands at £1.4 million.

Over 143 sites, Moviegoers Entertainment's Bad Newz made £165,464. The Indian comedy averaged £1,157 per location.

Including previews, the music documentary Blur: To The End made £147,981.

Bad Boys: Ride Or Die's UK box office total has risen to £11.8 million. It made £140,811 in its seventh week.

The Bikeriders has become director Jeff Nichols's highest-grossing film, totalling £3.8 million. Starring Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Tom Hardy, it made £66,720 in its fifth week.

For MUBI, Levan Akin's Crossing, a drama set in Istanbul, debuted with £26,010. Including previews, the film's gross total stands at £42,583.
