Fallout Series Gets New Trailer And Release Date

Fallout Trailer

The official trailer for the Fallout series, inspired by the award-winning game series, has been released by Studios.

All eight episodes of the new series will be released on the same day, as reported by Forbes. Fallout will also now premier a day earlier than originally planned.

Set in Los Angeles in 2296, the story will follow citizens forced to live underground in massive vaults to protect themselves from the horrors of the apocalypse, as well as those above ground who now wage war across the wastes.

The trailer shows Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) in Vault 4 before the war, speaking on behalf of the vault's constructors, Vault-Tec. It then cuts to Lucy (), a dweller from Vault 33, exploring the ruins of Los Angeles and becoming wrapped up in a fight for the future of the wasteland. While there she encounters Howard, who has turned into an irradiated human known as a ghoul

The trailer also shows Maximus (Aaron Moten) joining the Brotherhood of Steel, a group trying to reclaim pre-war technology to further mankind. Kyle MacLachlan meanwhile plays Overseer Hank, a character meant to maintain order within his vault.

Locations and creatures from the games make several occurrences in the trailer. This includes the town of Shady Sands from Fallout 2 (1998), the yao guai first seen in Fallout 3 (2008), and an airship named The Caswennan – which looks almost identical to The Prydwen from Fallout 4 (2015).

Purnell is best known for her performances as Jackie Taylor in Yellowjackets (2021-2023) and Jinx in Arcane (2021-present), while Moten's previous credits include roles in Emancipation (2022) and Next (2020).

Goggins' recent credits include Cecil Stedman in Invincible (2021-present) and Baby Billy Freeman in The Righteous Gemstones (2019-present).

Fallout is released on Amazon Prime on 11th April 2024.
