Multi Academy Award-nominee Glenn Close (Hillbilly Elegy, The Wife) and Emmy Award-winner (Damages, Serving in Silence) will star in the second season of the critically acclaimed, international hit Apple Original series, Tehran. Close will play the role of ‘Marjan Montazeri,' a British woman, living in Tehran.
Tehran is a global hit espionage thriller from Moshe Zonder and Omri Shenhar that tells the thrilling story of Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan, who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy. Close joins an ensemble cast that includes stars Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi.
Since its debut on Israeli network Kan 11 and globally on Apple TV+ on September 25 2020, Tehran was quickly renewed for a second season, and has captivated viewers worldwide, being hailed by critics as “gripping,” “heart stopping”, and a “captivating spy thriller.” The complete first season of Tehran is now streaming globally on Apple TV+.
Tehran is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Omri Shenhar serves as writer alongside Zonder. Syrkin and Shenhar are also co-creators.
