On January 8, the first two episodes of a brand new series were released on Disney+. The show, called Marvel Studios: Legends, is a new clip show that focuses on a different hero in each episode to serve as a catch-up or refresher on that character.
The two episodes that have been released are for Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch and Vision. The timing of these first two episodes is very pertinent as the new series following these two characters WandaVision starts on Disney+ on January 15th.
Each episode of Legends is less than 10 minutes long and it features some of the heroes best moments and scenes throughout the films they've been in. It's a nice, short way to remind yourself about these characters before we see them again in WandaVision as it has been quite some time since we last saw them in Avengers: Endgame.
The show is a very nicely edited look back at some of the exciting characters that have graced the big screen over the past few years but it is very similar, both in terms of style and in terms of quality- to some of the ‘fan-made' edits you can watch on YouTube. It would have been nice if these episodes also featured some interviews with the cast or some behind the scenes footage as well to make it a bit more exciting and a bit more than just a long trailer for the character. If you need a refresher on these characters before you start WandaVision next week, Legends is definitely worth a watch but if you don't get the chance to watch it you're not missing out on a great deal.
As for when the next episodes will release or which Avengers they'll focus on it's unclear at the moment but I'd hazard a guess that we might see episodes for both Falcon and The Winter Solder at some point in early March before their new series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier releases on Disney+ on March 19.
The first two episodes of Marvel Studios: Legends are streaming on Disney+ now.
Wandavision starts streaming on Disney+ on January 15.
