Sky Cinema customers are in for a treat on March 12th. They will be able to access the new Sky Original based on the best seller from world renowned special forces writer Andy McNab. SAS: Red Notice is also due to be released in cinemas on the same day. It seems that Sky is taking a leaf from Warner Bros. book with regards to their distribution schedule for this year.
The film follows the story of a Special Forces operative that's currently been suspended from duty. In his time off, he's taking his girlfriend to Paris on the Eurostar so that he can propose to her. Unfortunately, as the train goes through the Channel Tunnel, it's taken over by a gang of mercenaries who threaten to blow up the tunnel if they don't get what they want. The Special Forces Operative becomes the passengers' only hope for survival. The film is said to be filled with visceral action scenes and it's meant to be a very realistic simulation of how a professional operative would handle the situation at hand.
SAS: Red Notice boasts an impressive cast. Andy Serkis, Tom Hopper, Noel Clarke and Tom Wilkinson all play supporting roles. While the lead is played by Sam Heughan (who some may know from Outlander) who's fighting Ruby Rose as the leader of the mercenaries. Heughan's girlfriend is played by Hannah John-Kamen of Ant Man And The Wasp fame.
If this film sounds like your kind of thing then remember it arrives in cinemas and on Sky Cinema on March 12th. It will also be available to those with a Cinema Pass for Now TV.
