With the holidays quickly approaching, a new slew of Christmas themed films are soon to come (some better than others). Fortunately, Clea DuVall’s new directorial feat Happiest Season looks like it’s going to be one of the good ones. Boasting an incredible cast, Happiest Season stars Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis as couple Abby and Harper who are visiting Harper’s family for Christmas. What should be a fun holiday gathering turns a bit sour when Abby finds out that Harper’s family doesn’t know that Harper is a lesbian.

With already two stellar leads, Happiest Season also stars Dan Levy, Victor Garber, Mary Steenburgen, and Allison Brie. This is the second film that DuVall has directed, and she shares a writing credit with actress Mary Holland who also stars in it. As Christmas movies go, it seems like it’s going to be a great addition to the genre and will provide many funny, emotional, and heartwarming moments.

Happiest Season will be available to rent and buy in the UK on November 26th.
