is gearing up for their new year programming with the release date announcement and first look pictures of their new film . Written and directed by We Can Be Heroes follows a group of children who's parents, who happen to be superheroes, have been kidnapped by alien invaders. From the pictures released by Netflix today, this new film looks to be in a similar vein as Rodriguez's other beloved family film Spy Kids. From colorful set pieces to fun superhero outfits, We Can Be Heroes also boasts a stellar cast, starring , Yaya Gosselin, Priyanka Chopra, Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Adriana Barraza, and Christopher McDonald.

We Can Be Heroes will premiere on Netflix worldwide on January 1st, 2021.
