Netflix is gearing up for their new year programming with the release date announcement and first look pictures of their new film We Can Be Heroes. Written and directed by Robert Rodriguez, We Can Be Heroes follows a group of children who’s parents, who happen to be superheroes, have been kidnapped by alien invaders. From the pictures released by Netflix today, this new film looks to be in a similar vein as Rodriguez’s other beloved family film Spy Kids. From colorful set pieces to fun superhero outfits, We Can Be Heroes also boasts a stellar cast, starring Pedro Pascal, Yaya Gosselin, Priyanka Chopra, Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Adriana Barraza, and Christopher McDonald.

We Can Be Heroes will premiere on Netflix worldwide on January 1st, 2021.
