Watch the First Trailer for Sundance Winner ‘Minari’

A24 is at it again. This time they have acquired the Sundance indie hit , written and directed by Lee Isaac Chung (Lucky LifeAbigail Harm). Minari premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and won the Grand Jury Prize. The film follows a Korean family in the 1980s who move to Arkansas to start a farm. The Walking Dead fans will be happy to see Steve Yeun in the lead role of Jacob, the father of the family. The rest of the cast includes Yeri Han, Yuh-Jung Youn, Alan S. Kim, and Will Patton.

There's no denying A24's knack for picking quality films to distribute. With The Green Knight, Saint Maud, and Zola also in their upcoming lineup, they're still set to have a decent 2020/2021 despite what the pandemic has done to the movie industry. Based on the trailer, Minari looks to elevate the typical “American dream” narrative and is an above worthy addition to the A24 family. No release date information has been announced for Minari at this time. Check out the trailer below:
