The legendary kitchen-sink Hong Kong drama Shenmue and it’s sequel are being updated for a new generation. Shenmue is by far and away Sega’s most fan-requested returning franchise, featuring one of the most down-to-earth storylines and worlds ever to be brought to life by video games.

In 1999, Yu Suzuki created one of the most ambitious video games ever made, combining jujitsu combat with RPG elements and detective gameplay, in an environment so realistic your character, Ryo Hazuki,  needed to take a job to survive within it.

This new version appearing on PS4, Xbox One and PC, includes fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, graphics options for the PC version, an updated user interface and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers.
