Whether it’s from Silicon ValleyAdventure Time, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail or any of his numerous other film and TV appearances, there are few people who don’t seem to love Kumail Nanjiani.

Now, the story behind his relationship with the person who loves him the most – his wife, Emily V. Gordon – is about to be shown to the world. Written by Nanjiani and Gordon, The Big Sick is the real-life story of how they got together, even with an arranged marriage, judgemental (future) in-laws and a mysterious illness threatening to keep them apart.

Starring Kumail as himself, Zoe Kazan as Emily and Ray Romano and Holly Hunter as Emily’s parents, The Big Sick, produced by Judd Apatow, received universal acclaim at Sundance Film Festival, and is now heading to cinemas courtesy of Amazon Studios and Lionsgate.

Alongside a bit of banter between Nanjiani and Romano, Amazon released the trailer for the upcoming Rom-Com earlier today:

The Big Sick heads to cinemas June 23rd 2017.
