I’ve been spending most of my Netflix time on Harrison Ford films, because… you know, it’s Harrison Ford. But one series has managed to capture me from my Ford binge, and that is Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends.

It was a fantastic series aired in the very late 90s. Before Louis was as celebrated as he is today for his incredibly interesting documentaries, Weird Weekends was almost the starting point to his odd career.

My favourite of the seasons is series 1, where he delves into the lives of born again Christians, survivalists and UFO believers. It’s a good setting point if you’re wanting to get into the incredibly array of Louis Theroux documentaries that he has made over the past twenty years.

I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the weird and wonderful.
