In the late 70s, Massachusetts, USA, 25 year old Carl Drew operated a cult, he was a pimp who used satanism to terrify the prostitutes that worked for him. He demanded that his orders be carried out with no questions asked, and that was exactly what happened and the bodies began piling up. From 1979 to 1980, Carl Drew and his ten member cult had seances in the woods, in which Drew would lead as he spoke in different languages and would change his voice. The cult killed three innocent people, most members were prostitutes and followed in the murders, later all members were arrested, but only two were given life sentences (one of them being Drew). Probably one of the biggest horror stories on cults is what Jim Jones did to his hundreds of followers. Isolating them from the world, killing anyone who got involved, and anyone who tried to escape. Everyone in the People’s Temple were enraptured by this man’s charisma, and his promises of a greater life. Eventually, the cult had to move to Guyana (which Jim Jones later named Jonestown), and after convincing his 909 followers that the government would torture them and hurt their children, they all drank Kool-Aid which was laced with Cyanide. In reality, the government were wanting to free the cult, most of whom wanted to leave, Jones, afraid of losing his followers, took a drastic measure.
